Pricing and Payments

The following guidelines govern your interactions as a subscriber on PolicyCON, ensuring clarity and transparency in pricing and payment-related matters:

  1. Publication Pricing

Publishers on PolicyCON have the flexibility to offer their Publications for free or set a subscription fee through their Publisher accounts. Publishers may adjust pricing at their discretion; however, retroactive changes are not applicable.
When a publisher decides to increase their subscription fees, an email notification will be sent to all existing subscribers. Subscribers will have the right to reject the new prices by opting out of their current subscription plan with that analyst (publisher) to the one they find comfortable.
For existing subscribers, the new subscription fees will take effect at least 30 days before the expiry date of their current subscription plan. This grace period allows subscribers ample time to make an informed decision. For instance, if a subscriber has made an annual subscription, their current subscription fee will apply until the end of the year when they need to renew. Similarly, for monthly subscriptions, the current fee will remain effective until the next billing cycle.
Price changes will take effect immediately for new users who see the new prices and decide to subscribe.
Eg. If a publisher changes their subscription fee in the middle of the month of an ongoing subscription, the subscriber will be notified immediately to ensure they do not automatically pay the new fee. They will have the option to opt out of the subscription plan before the new fee takes effect.
This policy ensures transparency and provides subscribers with sufficient time and information to make informed decisions regarding their subscriptions, maintaining fairness and trust between PolicyCON, publishers, and subscribers.
  2. Subscription Fees

The subscription fees are determined by the analyst (publisher). Each analyst's subscription plan will be unique, with detailed information provided on the subscription plan page for each analyst you wish to subscribe to. For instance, Analyst A may offer a subscription plan at £100/month, an annual subscription at £1,000, and other custom plans eg. an early supporter’s package at £10,000. This will certainly differ from Analyst B's offerings. Each subscription package will detail what you will receive from each.
You will have the right to downgrade, upgrade, or unsubscribe (cancel) from specific analysts at your discretion. To manage your subscriptions, visit the Analyst section on your profile and navigate to the specific analyst whom you would like to upgrade, downgrade, or totally unsubscribe from.
When a publisher decides to increase their subscription fees, an email notification will be sent to all existing subscribers. Subscribers will have the right to reject the new prices by opting out of the current subscription plan with that analyst (publisher).

PolicyCON does not charge any hidden fees. All fees associated with our services are disclosed upfront, and consumers are given the opportunity to review and understand these fees before making any subscriptions.
If you subscribe to Publications that require payment, the following terms apply:

  2. Halting or Deleting Subscriptions

However, it's crucial to note that discontinuing or ceasing a subscription before the end of a paid subscription term places the obligation, including potential refunds, solely on your shoulders. PolicyCON bears no responsibility to issue, retain, or refund any previously remitted Revenue Share.
PolicyCON operates on a post-paid model where subscribers pay before they use the services. If a subscriber chooses to cancel their subscription, the cancellation will take effect from the ensuing billing cycle. This means that if a subscriber cancels in the middle of the month, their cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing month, and they will not be charged for the next billing cycle. Subscribers can also manage their subscriptions by visiting the profile of the analyst in question and downgrading from a paid plan to a free plan or another plan that suits their needs.
